Cornelius Ferguson aka Traxman is a central figure in the electronic music history of Chicago. A sampling master and soul music, funk and disco lover, he embarked on his musical career in the early 90's when Chicago house was in full swing and the flourishing ghetto house sound was making new waves. This led to him releasing numerous tracks on Dancemania, the seminal electronic music label with over 300 releases to its name.
Traxman will take this opportunity to deliver a special 3hr "History of Chicago House" set, a comprehensive journey through the evolution of the Chicago house sound. This night offers a one-off opportunity to hear a retrospective from a living legend with more than 30-years of experience. Two members from his collective will accompany him on the decks: Daddy-Panda will play an opening set consisting of soul, funk and disco and Perez will close proceedings with a selection of classic footwork and juke. Teklife or no life!
